Yeah , I think good people still exist but very hard to find. All kindness must not be someone helping you financially. The least thing as words of encouragement, moral support, giving you clear and profitable information goes a long way.
On my way to work this morning, I met a woman ( I have never met her before, I am not even sure of meeting her again ).
I wanted stoping a taxi and she was just passing by and said to move forward a little, those ones there will get a cheaper amount from you.
Me : Thank you ma'am,
She started conversation, and sounded so nice and calm, still following me. I responded well with a smile and query her back as if I am new in Uyo, that was just to know her intentions.
She kept following me, at a point I asked her are you going my direction ? She said No, let me just see you off at the taxi and help bargain the price for you. I was shock, I thought she was a cooperate begger, but no she wasn't.
She walked me down to where I was to enter the taxi, and actually, pleaded with the driver to get a cheaper amount from me, it was just like a mother interceding for the child. The driver finally accepted, and she thanked the driver, and said to me . Bye ka ye obong ( Go with the Lord ) God bless you. And left.
I don't know , but to some extent that action lighten up my morning.
I am not sure of meeting her again, but If our paths cross again and I can recall her face then I'll sure query her the more and ask why she was that kind.
