I always like to post unusual battles that show a unique side of the game. Today this happened, with a match where I survived until round 25.
As you can see this is a melee madness round, and health equaliser. Death isn't my strongest splinter, but from this match it wasn't clear who was going to win. My strategy was to put a few flying creatures up front and get all the misses, and annihilate the competition.
Well it didn't pan out that way, that pesky healer at the back was causing trouble, and my soulstorm which I over-relied on for attack was now at the front. leaving an impossible task as the healer kept on healing.
So looks like the only way I could win was see out the rounds, and rely on fatigue to take out the healer.
luckily I had a leech monster, just before the fatigue started setting in at round 21, I had a monster with 25 health.
for those that don't know, round 21, all monsters lose 1 health, round 22, they lose 2 health, round 23 they lose 3 health, and this goes on until the match is lost.
so to take out the healer all I needed to do was last another 4 rounds (i.e. 1+2+3+4 damage = 10). This ended up being quite easy if you start with 25 health.
the match ended up being mine.. and a lesson learned leech and heals are great for long duration matches!
This got me thinking, I wonder what the longest match has ever been? is there a world record? I guess we could work it out, but it means both sides need to have a long distance strategy. I am guessing around round 27 or 28 would be hard to beat. Comment below on your longest match.
