In my country, there is some kind of travel scheme where you sign up with the tour group and they take you to a tourist spot and they hit all the "attractions" like they are something to check off, from a do-to list. I believe these kinds of tour groups are quite common all over the world. Which isn't all that bad as it sounds, probably a bit fast-paced than I'd like. After all, you being an outsider will not know where to 'go', right? I do not like these tour groups, hence I never get myself tangled in such groups.
However, what I dislike the most is when people visit a place of scenic beauty with plenty of natural beauty mother nature generously bestowed upon us, and what do they do? They go to see fucking temples built in the last decade. Bazars with stuff to buy. And amusement parks. I mean you can do the same damned things in a crowded big city as well, why the hell do you have to travel hundreds of miles to do that? And if you really want to do it, leave me out of it.
I'm finding the idea of solo traveling increasingly more appealing. Perhaps I should learn swimming first (perhaps good enough to swim the English channel).
