Yeah, the Stargate language thing always bugged me too. Of all the human offshoots on the thousands of other worlds, the only ones that spoke another language were the ones on Abydos, the very first planet from the movie. And of course they still have Daniel doing all those translations of written stuff throughout the series, but all the spoken languages are still in English... 😒
