RE: Nerd By Northwest #362 - "Magic Swords Should Be Seen and Not Heard"
And we have our first name suggestion! Given that two of the secondary characters have the names Wayen and Garth (the half-drow monk and dwarf cleric, respectively), this name is a solid contender! 😉

I like it! Though I think I'll tweak that a bit and go with annoying passive-aggressive humming. Especially when the party is trying to sleep... 😏

"That's a question that will make your tabletop role-playing group all stop and have a long, long argument." Followed inevitably by the GM saying, "It's this way because I said so".

Exactly! It's not like the corpse is gonna feel the lower legs being cut off to get at his magic boots. 😉 Anyway, thanks man. Not a pleasant reason to be back in the States, but we'll try to enjoy some

Afraid I'll be all the way on the other end over on the Olympic Peninsula, where even the SeaTac airport is a 2 hour drive. Beautiful location, but quite a bit out of the way and chock full of senior citizens

As bad as some of that sentiment is in the States, when I talk to Brits, Aussies, and Europeans about guns most of them are not only pro-restriction they tend to favor outright disarmament and are totally

I was wondering if someone would spot that! Yup, it's largely a Norwegian-American thing... my dad was from a ethnic Norwegian family in the upper Midwest. Funny enough, in America it has a somewhat expanded

I've known the British slang term 'pissed' referring to being drunk for a long time, but only in the past several years since moving to Mongolia did I ever hear the term 'take the piss out of him'. The

Prestidigitation for the win! It says it can clean an area, so I assume that'd work. And it's a bard cantrip to boot! Failing that, there's Minor Illusion that could hide the stain... though that wouldn't

Gotcha. My notion I've been playing with is a parallel world situation, with the primary world coexisting with a parallel fantasy world and elements of the story playing out in both worlds and occasionally

Well, that IS the advantage of creating your fictional world from scratch, right? No pesky laws of physics or hard-wired aspects of human nature to get in your way... 😁 But to be fair, most of the time

You know, I'm really liking that idea! Much (too much) of my time the past two years has been devoted to keeping up on the crypto markets and managing my portfolio, but that'll change once this crypto

I'm loving the "VWORP" comic book sound effect. Can't wait to use it... seems ideal for when I have a D&D comic character teleport. Though I have NO idea when THAT will be. But hey, I've
