The next morning came very quickly. Lucas was looking out the hotel window and said, “This is like something out of a movie.” Richard, at the computer, remarked, “And it’s only our first day.” Tomás was packing his suitcase when a message from Michelle arrived that read, “Enjoy every second—I’ll be there soon.”
Minutes later, they received a call from the same unknown number that had been trying to reach them for days. Richard answered immediately, and the caller said right away, “This is Daniel Brooks. We’re expecting you; we have a meeting scheduled for today.” Everyone froze, and minutes later, a van pulled up in front of the hotel. They all got in, drove through a few streets, and finally arrived at a modern glass building.
They went inside, accompanied by an assistant who guided them through the elegant hallways and high-tech rooms. Lucas was excited, and they arrived at a large conference room. There stood Daniel Brooks; he greeted them and said, “Welcome. It’s a pleasure to finally meet Banda 17.” Everyone sat down. Daniel picked up a folder and began to speak: “We’ve been following your work, and your songs have been well received. We believe you have enormous international potential—”

Meanwhile, a screen displayed statistics, play counts, the countries where the band’s music was being listened to, and charts that kept rising. Everyone was surprised by how far they’d come, and after several minutes of conversation, the news arrived that would completely change the atmosphere in the room: “On behalf of Apple Music, we want to work with you to promote your next music project.” Lucas and Tomás stood up from their seats, while Richard stared at the table.
They all hugged each other, celebrating what they’d accomplished at that meeting. When it was over, they left the building, and the three of them couldn’t stop smiling. Lucas said, “I need to call Michelle right now.” They rushed back to the hotel as fast as they could, and Lucas called Michelle. He immediately told her they’d met with Apple Music, and the look on Michelle’s face was a sight to behold—she was completely taken aback.
They kept talking for several minutes, and before saying goodbye, Michelle checked the email on her computer once more—there was still no reply. However, she wasn’t worried, because very soon Banda 17 would be complete again.
