As the hours ticked by, things began to move much faster for the band. They were all gathered in the dressing room—some trying to hide their nerves, others taking deep breaths—when Michelle asked, "Are we really about to do this?" Lucas laughed, as did Tomás, and just then the producer walked over and said, "Listen to me. You’ve already done everything you needed to do: you rehearsed, you made mistakes, you started over, and you learned. Now, I don’t want you thinking about the crowd out there; instead, focus on yourselves." His words served as motivation for everyone.
Outside, the venue plunged into darkness; the only sounds were the roar of the crowd and the palpable excitement of fans awaiting the big concert. Then, the intro music began to play, and the band's name—17—flashed onto the screen. Michelle looked at Lucas, Lucas looked back at her, and Tomás looked at him, before they finally stepped out onto the massive stage they had dreamed of for so long. For the first time, they saw the venue packed with people—a massive crowd singing, shouting, and holding up their phones, many of them waving signs bearing the band's name.
They all took their positions, and for a few seconds, no one played a single note; they simply gazed at what lay ahead. Although they felt nervous, there was no turning back—they had to play. Lucas was the first to start singing, bursting with an energy that took everyone by surprise; each note seemed more powerful than the last, and every movement—rehearsed for hours—was executed flawlessly, while the crowd sang along with them.
Banda 17 was living out exactly what they had imagined for so long. When the first song ended, the venue erupted in applause and cheers; the band members looked at one another and exclaimed, "We did it!" The next song began immediately, and this time, as the music swelled, Banda 17 felt no fear—only a newfound confidence born of their achievement. They had discovered something no rehearsal could teach them: the stage wasn't a place to prove how good they were, but a place to show who they truly were. That night in Madrid, before a crowd that never stopped singing, Banda 17 was about to discover just how far they could go.
