The festival arrived much sooner than anyone expected; the venue was packed with people—technicians hauling instruments and lights, musicians, and a crowd that wouldn't stop celebrating. For the band, the atmosphere was different; they were in the dressing room—Michelle pacing back and forth, Lucas softly tapping his drumsticks against his leg, Tomás checking his guitar, and the fourth member sitting quietly. Someone asked, "How much time is left?" No one knew for sure until the producer announced, "Twenty-five minutes." Hearing this made the whole band nervous, as this was the moment they had been waiting for.

Just then, a technician came running in: "We have a problem." Everyone turned to look; it turned out the backing track wasn't loading correctly into the system—a major issue, since the song had been built around that track. Tomás was willing to play without it, but Michelle wasn't. Lucas raised his voice and said, "Then we do what we did in the studio: we listen to each other." However, Michelle still didn't want to play that way; while it had worked in the studio, here there were hundreds of people expecting a polished performance. The band argued over the problem, though it seemed the decision was leaning toward playing without the track.

The producer appeared again and said, "We have five minutes," but the bad news was that the backing track couldn't be recovered, so they would have to perform without it. Michelle closed her eyes, Tomás sat down, and Lucas smiled—until they heard, "Band 17, get ready." They all stood up and headed toward the stage. Tomás said, "No matter what happens, we do this together," and they stepped out onto the stage, which was packed with people; Lucas raised his drumsticks, Tomás readied his guitar, and Michelle began.

The song got underway, and everything went perfectly for the first few minutes—until Tomás’s amplifier stopped working, producing an awful noise. Remembering the producer's words, they kept playing as if nothing had happened until the final chord; none of them knew exactly how they had managed to pull it off. The audience applauded, and the band members hugged, having succeeded together as a group. However, right in the middle of the celebration, they received a notification that their trip to Madrid was departing in just a few hours. The festival turned out to be only the beginning, as the band now had something much bigger ahead of them: performing in Madrid.
