I realized I needed more experience and loot, leading me to revisit earlier regions. I destroyed a statue of King Ptolemy at the Temple of Hapi, defeated the intervening soldiers, searched for hidden treasure, and later hijacked a military boat to secure valuable bronze before clearing the Pyramides Wharf.
I finally realized what I was missing in my journey to advance to the next level. I had not collected enough experience or valuable loot from the easier regions of the land. With this realization, I decided to turn back and clear out those areas to strengthen my position.
As I traveled, I noticed a question mark on my map nearby and wondered what it could be, speculating whether it was another enemy camp. I soon arrived at the Temple of Hapi, where a large statue of King Ptolemy stood.
Destroying these statues was always a necessary activity to weaken the pharaoh's grip on the region. I knew that if I broke it down right in front of the soldiers, they would immediately come to fight me. Just as I assumed, the guards reacted instantly, and I had to fight them back
After dealing with the initial wave, I shouted out to see if anyone else remained. Another soldier stepped forward to face me, but he was quickly dealt with. The remaining reinforcements eventually collapsed under my blade.
I decided to explore the Temple of Hapi. I suspected there was a treasure hidden inside. A large pillar looked like the perfect spot for a hidden chest, but I could not see anything at first.
I climbed to the top to get a better vantage point, yet the treasure remained out of sight. While I searched, the soldiers returned for me, forcing me to reconsider my plan.
I realized I needed to look for another location, as this temple did not yield the treasure I sought.
I spotted a transport courier carrying a large supply of bronze, which was exactly what I needed. While my eagle, Senu, distracted the bronze holder, I moved in to take him down.
During the struggle, someone threw a smoke bomb as the courier tried to escape. One of the guards claimed I would die, but I killed him right away before eliminating the rest of the escort.
My journey then brought me to the Kerkasoros outpost. I noticed more bronze carriers stationed on a nearby boat and decided to check on them first, leaving the main outpost for later.
The view from the riverbank was spectacular, with birds scattering into the sky as I approached.
I needed a boat to reach the large vessel, but there were no empty skiffs nearby. Left with no choice, I dove into the water to swim toward the target.
Fortunately, a civilian boat steered toward me, as if the owner had come to save me from the water. I thanked him and borrowed his boat, assuring him I was not stealing it permanently.
As I rowed closer, the soldiers on the military vessel spotted me. They were not as strong as they appeared, and I quickly took care of the ship's captain and secured the bronze.
A larger brute attempted to stop me, but I handled him easily along with more of his teammate.
With the ship cleared, I discovered a new camp called Pyramides Wharf. Senou hovered above, confirming the presence of a treasure chest and a camp captain.
I shot one of the guards using a fire arrow to take him down instantly. While I fought the remaining soldiers, Senu distracted a fighter, allowing me to finish the battle.
With all the guards defeated, I looted the final treasure, successfully completing the location objective and gaining a significant amount of experience.
I'll show more of my photographic journey of the games soon, so stay tuned to my blog if you liked them.
