Unfortunately today, I don't have much to say.

So I guess I'll just plop this down here, and walk away.

The Gateway

Another one.

Surprise, surprise.

I actually enjoyed being a normal type artist the other day when I published this post. Was quite surprised with the turnout; wasn't expecting so many to show up and say a few words. And like most of my artwork, I never truly know if anyone will enjoy what I've done, so when you do, I feel pretty damn good.

I guess I don't really care about the money part anymore and I already knew in advance that post and even this post won't be trending or growing in popularity any time soon. I don't mind being an underground outsider anyway and I've written about that before on a few occasions.

My approach to all this leads to surprises. Much like back in the day when people would browse the shelves at the music store or even Blockbuster video, pick something up they've never heard of, take it home, and be pleasantly surprised that they actually enjoyed something they didn't know existed.

I could act like the big poster you'd see as you walk in the door, advertising the big new release; boost my stuff to the front and cram it down your throats...

I prefer to be discovered.

Feels so good when I see a new face walk in the door.

That means you're here only because you were curious and interested in the actual art, maybe the words, or something about me piqued your interest. I didn't have to lure you in like that van driving man with the candy. I don't set myself up to feel low, sleazy or dirty. The money is nice but an honest approach gives me just as much of a rewarding feeling. I done good without having to put on a mask and be who you want me to be. Fuck smiling for the cameras.

I'm rambling.

It's probably the paint fumes.

Someone is here painting the ceiling.

I just noticed; I think I have a buzz and better open a few more windows.

Maybe it's a good time to head outside.

The art?

In that other post I said:

An image like the one above(referring to the image in the other post) I'd say for me, was simple, but time consuming. Some of my other work is incredibly complex, and time consuming. Other images have crazy meanings I never reveal. Some mess with your mind and offer up visions of things that aren't really there. Some images have hidden messages encoded within and I doubt anyone will ever figure out what I've been saying all these years, in silence; and I'll typically place those secrets in the places where you'd least expect them.

The image above is a combination of all that, plus more.

Have a nice day.
