For those who don't know I am a lapidary artist/gemcutter specializing in North American Gemstones. I work with any and all rocks and crystals with the exception of diamonds. Some stones are good for cabochons others for faceting into gems, I work with both.
Today I was looking over my rock collection trying to decide what I wanted to cut. While looking through my stock I located some rocks we had found on a family trip to California 11 years ago. I did take the time to cut slices so you all could get an idea of what I will be showing off in #threads tomorrow.

This first set of slices is serpentine. Very good quality rough, solid with a nice mottled green pattern.

Next up we have some lower grade Jade, white and tan perhaps a bit of green, but we will have to see when the polishing is done.

Finally we have a higher grade Jade, creamy white with a touch of green. I am excited to see how this Jade looks after cutting.

#Aliveandthriving as always in #ozarklife looking forward to tomorrows labor of love. Hope you have a chance to see some of the finished stones tomorrow on #threads.

All text and photographs by me nomaddreamer@nomaddreamer thanks for checking in.
