Season's greetings, Steemians. I'm happy to share with you all my entry for kennik@kennik's The Blessing art challenge.

At first glance, it seems like the presents and the heavily-decorated tree are the highlights of this scene. However, once you finish scrutinizing the elaborately wrapped gifts and bright ornaments, you will see my family gathered round the table for dinner.

It's a bit cliche but whenever I think about my blessings, my thoughts are constantly turned toward my family. We are far from the perfect bunch. Truthfully, we disagree more than we get along; and arguments are kind of a daily norm for us.

But we never fail to make up again, stick together, and support one another no matter our differences.

Christmas is more than the extravagant gifts and decorations. This season, it is best to appreciate the people in our lives who are there for us when we need them, and our Lord who put them in our lives.

I used ms paint as always to draw, choosing the oil brush tool in different sizes. To be honest, this is a bit cartoonish, I've never tried completing a whole scene using paint. Anyway, this was some good practice! I haven't been drawing much for several months until I joined Steemit.

That's it, and props to kennik@kennik for organizing a well-timed contest with this theme.

Thanks for taking a peek at this post.

Only 5 days till Christmas! Enjoy the holidays everyone,
