How to make a clear glass (and a bonus, I've been away for a while!)/ Cómo hacer un cristal transparente (y un bonus ¡Estuve afuera por un tiempo!)

Hello Hivers! How have these days been? Today I came with a new tutorial and also to chat a bit about this week that I wasn't here, by the way, I finally have internet at home so I don't have to depend on the phone plan anymore 😱, Also while I'm writing this, I'm watching an anime called "Ousama Ranking", I've only been watching it for two days, and it's hard for me to put it aside to do other things haha, At first that series did not attract my attention, its animation is very basic and the drawing is very cartoony, however I learned that this is its charm, the story is quite good, too deep, that with that style of drawing, anyone would think that it is something more cheerful and childish, That's why I really like watching cartoons, sometimes things are not what they seem, I have been very happy because my favorite Disney series, "The Owl House", is back, I love that series and the art of Dana Terrace!, but anyway, I went around the bush, today's tutorial is about how to make glasses transparent in Photoshop, I don't know if it has happened to you that sometimes you want to make edits and when you cut something like a glass, you notice the blurred background of the original image, so it ruins what we want to do, so that's why I came up with this idea! It's pretty simple and it will solve that problem!

This is where the tutorial starts

• First we use the selection tool of our liking, to select the glass, do not worry if it has colors, that can be fixed at the end.

• When the glass is already selected, we click on "select and mask", we made sure to decontaminate the colors and in my case, I smothered it a bit.

• Now we use Ctrl+J several times and they will make another 3 copies of the glass layer, this is important since each layer will have its specific function, in this first copy, you can see that the layer mode is "Luminosity" at 70% opacity.

• We skip the second copy and now set the 3rd layer's mode to "Multiply", with 51% opacity (doesn't have to be exactly that number).

• Now on the last copy of the layer, we change the mode to "Soft Light", with 28% opacity.

• So this is where we go back to the layer that we had skipped, we right click and go to "Blending Options", this would already be our final and most important step towards achieving transparency.

• They mark the options as they see in the capture, when they are in "Blend If", you have to leave it in gray so that they can lighten the glass well or rather give the effect of transparency.

• As I said before, in the end we can fix the detail that the glass is seen with color reflections, we just go to Hue/Saturation.

• We remove the saturation and increase if we want the brightness a little.

• In a last test, I opened another image to confirm that the edition was well done and indeed it was quite well.

This is the final result, I added a small shadow without much detail to not make it feel so empty.

Now that I have internet, I can play EOS!, luckily a great friend of mine let me first download the game earlier at his house, and when I finally had internet, I've been playing again!, I had to create a new account because they changed, so I had to start over 😰 But to tell you the truth, I'm pretty rusty on French! I had a hard time understanding when I came back! 😂, although I was lucky that something new that I saw, is that I can automatically go to the mission site, so the things that I didn't really understand, I just used that button, but little by little I'm going to refresh my memory, I haven't practiced French for a long time, and I have a French friend but since she prefers to speak English, we haven't dedicated ourselves to her native language for a long time! 😅.

I had fun creating the character, but I got more excited when I saw my llama again! It's the cutest mount I've ever seen 😂, they even gave me a tiger with 3 days use but I love my llama, when I want to look rude in the game, I'll summon the tiger 👌🏻.

Another thing, I don't know if I'm doing something wrong or I clicked on something wrong! But I wanted to be an assassin instead of a duelist! I don't know if I can change that in the future, but no way, it's the second time that's happened to me 😩👊🏻.

I was also spending time with my sister, my niece likes colorful breakfasts, so my sister made us some blue arepas, it was strange but quite happy 😂, I had never eaten a blue arepa hahahaha.

I also took a picture of Pipo, since he was posing for me!, and also, that bird tried to eat my earring 🤣🤣.

Then on Monday I went to the cinema with two friends, we wanted to see Sword Art Online, it's one of our animes from when we were kids, so we thought it was worth going to see it directly in the cinema, something that anime in theaters is not usual here!, I liked the movie, a beautiful animation and I would say perfect, but SAO does not usually disappoint with animation but it usually does with the story, Although it's one of my favorite animes, I admit that 😅, but it's just my personal opinion, plus they suddenly brought out things that had never happened in anime, so there were several inconsistencies, but in the end, the most important thing is that I had a good time with my friends, I hadn't seen them in a long time and they are like family to me ❤️.

And in the end, I took advantage of the moment to buy materials, although I still have an artistic block, I am excited to be able to think of using these materials to make something that I like!

Hoy vengo con un nuevo tutorial y también para platicar un poco sobre esta semana que no estuve, por cierto, por fin tengo internet en casa así que ya no tengo que depender del plan de telefonía 😱, también mientras estoy escribiendo esto, estoy viendo un anime que se llama "Ousama Ranking", solo lo he estado viendo durante dos días, y es difícil para mí dejarlo de lado para hacer otras cosas haha, al principio esa serie no me llamaba la atención, su animación es muy básica y el dibujo es muy caricaturesco, sin embargo aprendí que ese es su encanto, la historia es bastante buena, demasiado profunda, que con ese estilo de dibujo cualquiera pensaría que es algo más alegre e infantil, por eso me gusta mucho ver dibujos animados, a veces las cosas no son lo que parecen, he estado muy feliz porque mi serie favorita de Disney, "La Casa Búho", está de vuelta, ¡me encanta esa serie y el arte de Dana Terrace! , pero en fin, me fui por las ramas, el tutorial de hoy es sobre como hacer vasos o copas transparentes en Photoshop, no sé si les ha pasado que a veces quieren hacer ediciones y cuando cortan algo como un vaso se nota el fondo borroso de la imagen original, entonces arruina lo que queremos hacer, ¡por eso se me ocurrió esta idea! ¡Es bastante simple y resolverá ese problema!

Aquí es donde comienza el tutorial

• Primero usamos la herramienta de selección de nuestro agrado, para seleccionar el vidrio, no te preocupes si tiene colores, eso se puede arreglar al final.

• Cuando el vidrio ya está seleccionado, le damos a “seleccionar y enmascarar”, nos aseguramos de descontaminar los colores y en mi caso lo suavicé un poco.

• Ahora usamos Ctrl+J varias veces y harán otras 3 copias de la capa de vidrio, esto es importante ya que cada capa tendrá su función específica, en esta primera copia, pueden ver que el modo de capa es "Luminosidad" en 70% de opacidad.

• Omitimos la segunda copia y ahora configuramos el modo de la tercera capa en "Multiplicar", con un 51% de opacidad (no tiene que ser exactamente ese número).

• Ahora en la última copia de la capa, cambiamos el modo a "Luz suave", con un 28% de opacidad.

• Entonces aquí es donde volvemos a la capa que nos habíamos saltado, hacemos clic derecho y vamos a "Opciones de fusión", este ya sería nuestro paso final y más importante para lograr la transparencia.

• Marcan las opciones como ven en la captura, cuando están en "Fusionar si", hay que dejarlo en gris para que aclaren bien el cristal o más bien den el efecto de transparencia.

• Como dije antes, al final podemos arreglar el detalle de que el vidrio se ve con reflejos de color, solo vamos a Tono/Saturación.

• Quitamos la saturación y aumentamos si queremos un poco el brillo.

• En una última prueba, abrí otra imagen para confirmar que la edición estaba bien hecha y efectivamente estaba bastante bien.

Este es el resultado final, agregué una pequeña sombra sin mucho detalle para que no se viera tan vacío.

¡Ahora que tengo internet, puedo jugar EOS!, por suerte un gran amigo mío me dejó descargar el juego antes en su casa, y cuando finalmente tuve internet, ¡he vuelto a jugar!, tuve que crear un nueva cuenta porque cambiaron, así que tuve que empezar de nuevo 😰 Pero a decir verdad, ¡estoy bastante oxidada con el francés! ¡Me costó entender cuando volví! 😂, aunque tuve la suerte de que algo nuevo que vi, es que automáticamente puedo ir al sitio de la misión, entonces las cosas que realmente no entendí, solo usé ese botón, pero poco a poco voy a refrescarme la memoria, hace mucho que no practico francés, y tengo una amiga francesa pero como ella prefiere hablar inglés, ¡hace mucho que no nos dedicamos a su lengua materna! 😅.

Me divertí creando el personaje, ¡pero me emocioné más cuando volví a ver a mi llama! Es la montura más linda que he visto 😂, hasta me dieron un tigre con 3 días de uso pero amo a mi llama, cuando quiera verme ruda en el juego, invocaré al tigre 👌🏻.

Otra cosa, ¡no sé si estoy haciendo algo mal o ¡hice clic en algo erróneo! ¡Pero yo quería ser un asesino en lugar de un duelista! No sé si pueda cambiar eso en el futuro, pero ni modo, es la segunda vez que me pasa 😩👊🏻.

También estaba pasando el tiempo con mi hermana, a mi sobrina le gustan los desayunos coloridos, entonces mi hermana nos hizo unas arepas azules, fue raro pero bastante feliz 😂, nunca había comido una arepa azul hahaha.

También le saqué una foto a Pipo, ¡ya que estaba posando para mí!, y además, ese pájaro intentó comerse mi arete 🤣🤣.

Luego el lunes fui al cine con dos amigos, queríamos ver Sword Art Online, es uno de nuestros animes de cuando éramos niños, así que pensamos que valía la pena ir a verlo directamente al cine, ¡algo que el anime en cines no es usual aquí!, me gustó la película, una animación hermosa y diría perfecta, pero SAO no suele defraudar con la animación pero sí con la historia, aunque es uno de mis animes favoritos, lo admito 😅 , pero es solo mi opinión personal, además de repente sacaron cosas que nunca habían pasado en el anime, entonces hubo varias inconsistencias, pero al final, lo más importante es que la pasé bien con mis amigos, no había visto en mucho tiempo y son como una familia para mí ❤️.

Y al final, aproveché el momento para comprar materiales, aunque todavía tengo un bloqueo artístico, ¡me emociona poder pensar en usar estos materiales para hacer algo que me guste!
