This was a fun experiment with long exposure. It was a pitch-black night on this road through the bluffs of La Crosse Wisconsin. I set my camera to bulb mode and let the car pass by. I then used a speed light to fill in some of the shadows just to give a little more context as to what you were actually looking at. In the end, I feel like this worked out great. It was a single exposure and I was able to get detail in the trees and guardrail.
