Lately, if you have been reading my posts, you know that I have been going through some personal issues, and dealing with some depression. My wife and I have been under a lot of stress from the business we run together, and well, when you live together, and work together, things can get stressful. Lately, that stress has really been showing itself in our marriage. Honestly, I have been trying my hardest to make things better between us, but I do not know what to do anymore. I decided that maybe the best thing for me would be to focus on myself, and that is what I am trying. I have been writing every day even though I have not had much to really say. Cheesy posts just to keep up my writing streak, and feeling bad for my lack of quality. My motivation has been gone as far as really everything. It is hard to find motivation when it feels like the most important thing in your life is not working out...
Moving On...
I live in Michigan, and I am sure that the so-called seasonal affective disorder is something to take into consideration here as well. We lose sunlight in the winter, and the gloomy months are well, gloomy. Add this in with everything else, and you can about lose your mind in January. Luckily, this morning it snowed, and my wife and I had a snow removal contract that we had to honor. No laying around the house moping today, I had work to do! The thing is, after we went and serviced the contract we had to do, I decided to snow plow for my entire neighborhood. I figured why not? It needed done, and I am sure someone will appreciate it, even if I never hear the words. More importantly, doing free work for others is a great way to get out of my own head for a while and think about someone else.
You Know What? It Helped!
It has been about a week since my wife and I really got into it and started having issues, and today is the first day that I feel like maybe things are getting back to normal. Maybe just the time passing is helping, and maybe it is me focusing on myself. Maybe it was going out and plowing snow for others, but I have to say, today is better than yesterday was, and hopefully tomorrow will be better still. Keeping this goal of posting every day is giving me some kind of schedule and discipline, and that can not be under estimated either. I apologize again for the sappy, personal posts, but honestly, I just don't know what else to write about other than what is going on with me, and as sad as it may seem, this is what is going on with me today.
