Happy day to all the parents that integrate this beautiful community.

Immunizations or vaccines are of great importance for our little ones because they protect against diseases that although they seem harmless sometimes if we don't have the vaccines with the necessary antibodies in our children could not withstand it and bring serious complications.

Last Thursday I went with my little Abby to give her the vaccines that we had pending since last year to be honest I had forgotten that when she was one year old she had to get trivalent and yellow fever in December when I checked the cardboard I thought that the ones that were due were the pentavalent and oral polio boosters but to my surprise there were 4 vaccines missing so we went to the nearest clinic or clinic to our house after taking Alys to school.

We arrived very early at about 7:30 am we had to wait a while because a day before I went to ask and they told me that their working hours were from 8:00am, once the time passed and they opened the place I had to wait a little longer because the nurses in charge of the immunizations had not arrived.

At approximately 9:00am a nurse arrived and immediately began to vaccinate, fortunately my baby was the first, the nurse took the cardboard and told me that they would only give my little girl the pentavalent and oral polio boosters because trivalent and yellow fever had not arrived so they wrote me down on a list so that once they arrived at the clinic they would contact me by phone to take the girl and get vaccinated with those two. Then I wrote down the date with the two vaccines that they did have and that they were going to give her.

Then the nurse went on to give the dose of Oral Polio to my little girl and told me not to give her anything to eat or drink for about 30 minutes, then on her right leg they gave her the dose of pentavalent and told me not to touch the area where the vaccine was given and to give her some medicine like acetominofen, ibuprofen or diclofenac when I got home, since the last vaccine protects against 5 diseases and causes fever with some discomfort and irritation as a reaction.

My little girl was very brave although she cried with the twinge in her leg which is quite normal in children and even in us adults, but in a couple of minutes she was quite calm, now we just have to wait for the yellow fever and trivalent vaccines to arrive to complete the immunization schedule required for her age.

I leave you as a reminder to check the immunization card of your little ones to see if they have any pending vaccinations, remember that it is the task of us parents to protect our little ones.
