Old classmate reunions are delightful events. An event of togetherness where you can meet up with your classmates you may not have seen for years after graduating from school. Some of my old classmates have moved out of the country, some to different cities, however, technology has made it so easy for us to find a whole lot of our old classmates through Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, and more...

In the course of our school reunion which was held in June 2020, I had the privilege to reunite again with my classmates in sharing life ideas, after our graduation 馃帗 in 2013. Some of you who know me a little from this Blockchain should know by now that I am an extrovert and yes, the reunion is one of the events I love attending. Even though I was already married with kids when we held our reunion, I made effort to attend from the Western part of Nigeria Lagos state where I reside to the Eastern part of Nigeria in Enugu state. It was a memorable event and I will quickly highlight how it went hopefully, you can pick a thing or two.

Before our reunion, we had an ALUMNI WHATSAPP GROUP. This group was created by our class rep in 2013 till date. It's a group that has bonded us together as a family. There in that group, we share both in good times and the bad time of each member. Para venture there is a wedding ceremony, we don't only contribute to the celebrant but we ensure to send people to represent us in the event. Same as any burial ceremony, or a member that needs financial assistance may be due to health challenges. Our birthdays too are one thing we celebrate uniquely, with lots of giveaways by the members. Indeed, good friends are worth more than silver or gold! Our class of 2013 has been so lively even in our Whatsapp forum, so planning for the reunion wasn't a difficult task and many of us were so eager to catch up with each other again physically after many years away from school.

*So about the event, the venue was chosen to be our school hall there in Enugu state. A lot of members turned out for the event, both married and single. We had made some free will donations before D-Day and some people living close to the state helped in getting all the food and drinks we needed.

The major thing we did was a life review after school. Life after school isn't easy for many, especially for those without the right knowledge to move ahead. It was an interesting session where we get to know how far our mates have been doing. Jobs are not guaranteed in my country after school and I was not surprised to hear that most people diverted into different businesses and jobs to earn a living. It was a moment of sharing ideas, getting those that are de-informed to be informed. A lot of knowledge was dished out, both crypto and another profitable business one can start with or without money. The idea was to carry everyone along especially in the harsh economy we found ourselves in. Everyone present at the event was glad he or she attended. The moment of mingling was awesome as well, I couldn't control my emotions seeing my old classmates getting fat, more refreshed, and more mature 馃槀. We dine together as the family we already are, encouraging each to keep striving till we meet our expected goal*.

Above all, we learned new things from each other and upon review in our Whatsapp group, a lot of people have started benefiting from the information shared in the reunion.

In conclusion, some reunions can be an eye-opener. A unique set of shared experiences can bind friends together. People are everything, you and I need people to survive and when you find good friends, please keep them, they can be a shortcut to your success stories.
