Usually when we refer to cryptocurrencies we think of the possibility of investing in them to get rich through financial speculation, a way to make money increase by betting on ups and downs but leaving aside the essence of any economy: work.
I have nothing against the financial vision of cryptocurrencies, for some this way of making money work by speculating generates significant income, however, I think that in the long run this economic methodology benefits few to the extent that the effort of the vast majority, those who make up the real economy is diluted between credits, commodities and fears of losing the effort of a lifetime to large institutions with access to infinite money, it is impossible to compete against that.
The real economy is the economy of hard work, thanks to it we have food on our tables, electricity in our homes, a car to transport us or a resort where we can enjoy a pleasant vacation. I would say that 90%, probably more, of human beings in the world are part of this type of economy, either through entrepreneurship or as employees of an industry or service.
In the world of decentralized cryptos, there is a scarcity of projects aimed at generating profits in the real sector of the economy, practically most of the efforts are directed towards the speculative or financial form. On the other hand, labor is becoming an endangered species due to the voracity of the fiduciary model. In fact, the governments of the world are in favor of giving away fiat money to their citizens (incentives) rather than generating jobs, based on a policy called: universal allowance, thus only having to worry that the checks arrive on time to the unemployed.
Being an entrepreneur in a world dominated by the fiat model is a task worthy of superheroes, while for financial institutions these people will never be a priority for access to credit, or otherwise entrepreneurs are subjected to the slavery of debt and interest rates. The most obvious result of this labor slavery process is that the entrepreneur gives up, goes bankrupt and does not want to start his effort in the future.
One thing I admire about DeFi is the simple way it translates the financial world into the cryptocurrency world in a decentralized way, so it would be a strong ally for efforts to make digital currencies the way to move the real economy forward without relying on the yoke of the fiat model. I understand that no one invests to lose, this is clearly a reality, but if there are people who are able to meet the payments as their work and dreams grow are entrepreneurs.
Considering that the value of the Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies each day far exceeds the questioned dollar, the incentive to the real economy would generate a quick return to the investor and the satisfaction of supporting a worker so that his economy arises thanks to the power of cryptocurrencies, the solidarity of the community that integrate it and the joy that offers the freedom to be worth your own effort.
