If someone had told me last year that my life would change so positively in such a short time, I would have looked at him with distrust, turned my head away while abandoning the conversation thinking about the mental unhealthiness of my interlocutor. Undoubtedly the best decision of my life was to join the Hive ecosystem and rely on my ability and knowledge for written communication by virtue of transforming ideas into money, i.e. cryptocurrencies.

Since I started my journey in this social network in January 2021 much has changed in my life compared to last year, depending on a fiat salary, suffocated in debt and living under the rigors of living in the country with the highest inflation in the world. By dedicating part of my time to monetizing content on Hive and being rewarded with payment in a cryptocurrency that at this moment exceeds the value of my country's currency and the inflationary percentage, therefore I have allowed myself to assume the costs of basic services, food and clothing for both myself and my son in addition to assuming the investment costs of my venture.

My father, an old man of the old school, recently asked me: "My dear daughter, are you selling drugs, it seems strange to me that while everyone in this country complains about how expensive life is and you almost without leaving your house always have money, you are not involved in illegal things? After hearing his words a big laugh came out of my mouth while at the same time I was thinking about how to explain content monetization to someone so convinced of the value of work in real life, out there at home.

I told him that monetizing content is something similar to what any writer or journalist does, only that the work is not printed on paper but published via the web, plus the economic compensation is granted by the community that supports the production process with a virtual currency called Hive, it is like the dollar or any money but intangible. To the old man what I was talking about seemed like science fiction, however he gave me a big smile and left saying the following: "Good thing you are in that and not in what I thought".
