So I noticed that not many people know about SketchUp even tho it was the first 3D program I have ever used, and because of that I decided to make a beginners tutorial. This tutorial will not go into advanced functions , views or options.
This is what you should see when you first start the program, now got to the top bar where you have the circle with the arrow. Click it and change it squares.
Let's start with making a cube, to do that make a rectangle. Now choose the pull tool.
Now let's make a small indent in the square, to do that choose the offset tool.
Now drag to the inside of the cube.
Select the pull tool again and push to the inside of the cube.
Now let's lower the sides too again with the pull tool.
Now choose the line tool.
Now on the right chose in the materials glass, select one and click the plane.
Now choose metal or wood in the materials and paint the rest.
Now you got yourself a picture frame, now paste a picture inside.
You made a great 3D model, be proud of yourself. Congratulations!
