It was suggested that I put a little content with these facts. In an effort to make these a fun to read as they are factual, I will. I even spiced up the banner. These facts come to me every day. I don't have to look them up. I don't use all the ones I get because some of them just don't seem interesting enough. Starting with this one, I will be marking my favorite one with a "🌟".
While children in the United States have their baby teeth taken away by the tooth fairy, in France, it is "la petite souris" (the little mouse) that pays a visit. When a baby tooth falls out, the child places it under their pillow and in the morning it has been removed by la petite souris and replaced with money. The mouse has a busy schedule, as it serves not only France but also countries such as Belgium, Switzerland, Morocco, Algeria, Luxembourg, Russia, and the French-speaking regions of Canada. Spanish-speaking countries have their own tooth-collecting mouse known as Pérez Mouse.
🌟On January 3, 1987, Aretha Franklin became the first woman to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Guitarist Keith Richards of The Rolling Stones, a long time fan of the legendary singer, had the distinct honor of inducting Aretha Franklin that day. After Franklin passed in 2018, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame posted a statement that read: “The first woman inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, Aretha Franklin was an artist of passion, sophistication and command, whose recordings remain anthems that defined soul music. Long live the Queen.”
