It's very hot again today. I decided to walk along the path that runs along the river. There the water is not much cooler and walking is more comfortable. I immediately saw a wagtail running along the path. The heat is not a problem for these birds, but they also try to stay close to the water.
There are not many people near the river. Apparently everyone is trying to stay in the shade of the trees. It's not that hot there. But the wagtail runs quickly along the path as if the heat is not a hindrance to it.
I began to come closer to her, but she immediately began to move away from me in small dashes. She moves away and looks at me, apparently waiting for me to come closer to her, and then runs away again.
So we competed with her several times. Then I stopped and didn’t approach. The wagtail waited, saw that I was not approaching and began to look for something on the ground.
After a little searching on the ground, she slowly moved towards the green grass on the side of the path.
Apparently the wagtail was hungry and despite the hot weather, she tried to find food for herself.
She walked along the stone curb, carefully examining the grass growing along the side of the path. She probably hoped to find food there. But it was already getting hot and I decided to move into the shade of the trees and see if there were birds on the tree branches.
