Now is the beginning of winter. Although there is no severe frost during the day, but at night the temperature drops to minus 10 degrees Celsius.
Several rowan trees grow near the forest on the banks of the river. After the frost, the years became large and mild. I noticed that on these trees, various birds always feast on rowan berries. Apparently this year the berries are very tasty because sometimes you can see birds on the trees that were not here before.

Today I walk by and see that a titmouse is sitting on a mountain ash. I haven't seen titmice here before. But apparently ripe berries attract them with their beautiful appearance. The titmouse picked berries and then clamped the berries with its paws on a tree branch. After that, she tore off small pieces of berries and ate them. Of course, this is not a quick meal compared to the blackbirds, which immediately swallow the berries. But all the same it is clearly visible that the titmouse liked the berries .

Maybe birds like to eat rowan berries because in their stomachs the berries ferment and alcohol is formed. Apparently they like this state. The main thing is that they do not eat a lot of berries, otherwise they may lose their orientation in space and will not be able to fly.

Sometimes it's funny to watch how the birds, after eating rowan berries, began to pick up other birds. They flew strangely and could not accurately land on branches. There were cases when they fell from them.

Of course it's winter now. It is more difficult for birds to find food for themselves. Therefore, they eat what they find in the trees. Rowan berries are not difficult to get and they are very tasty.

Every day there are fewer and fewer berries on the mountain ash and soon they will not be at all. It's a shame the birds won't be able to eat them. .
