We have several large oaks in the park. They always grow a lot of acorns. Many birds always come to this place to feast on acorns. Often large birds stick acorns to secluded places to eat them later.
This jackdaw was sitting on a branch and looking out for something on the ground below. Soon she descended to the ground and began to scatter old leaves. She was clearly looking for something. Apparently she hid her food among the leaves.
She soon found what she was looking for. It was a good big acorn. She grabbed it and immediately flew up to the branch. Perhaps she was afraid that her relatives would want to take him away from her.
Sitting comfortably on a tree branch, she began to examine him. Apparently she was deciding which side she should gouge him with. She was looking for a place where the acorn shell is not so thick.
Having found a good place, she began to peck him with her beak quite successfully. Soon the shell broke and the insides of the acorn appeared. She immediately started eating them. But she got so carried away that she dropped the acorn from her paws and it fell to the ground.
She immediately flew to the ground but did not drag him onto the branch again. Apparently it was not very convenient to gnaw this acorn. Therefore, holding him with her paws, she began to peck him again with her beak.
Soon there was nothing left of the acorn. The jackdaw gloriously enjoyed the acorn and she obviously liked it very much.
