Blackness Castle is a popular filming location and has featured in the show Outlander as Fort William. For those that watch the series Outlander this is where the villain Black Jack Randal whipped Jamie.
My cousins and I thought the castle was especially stunning because it was right on the water. The beach next to the castle is a public beach but the water is very cold and I wouldn't recommend swimming there (lots of rocks).
If you watch the show outlander you will have a total geek moment because it is a cool experience to be in a filming location of one of your favorite shows. Also I like my jacket because when i put the hood up I feel like a lion LOL
