I have never seen a red one, they seem to need forests and we are naturally grasslands although my mother said that she once saw one in the garden after a lot of rain

The leaves do fall off in autumn and the plant goes dormant but cold freezes the caudex and causes rot. We usually only see mushrooms at my place for about 2-3 months in summer when it rains a lot but

Predator poo usually contains hair and bone fragments, your photo looks more like that of a grazing animal that chews cud such as an antelope so you shouldn't worry too much about that

I put them on an east windowsill and keep dry in winter anyway. I've lost more than one to winter temperatures, they occur in the tropical parts of my country whereas we get frost sometimes where I live

Lovely hybrid collection! I really like the species although I struggle to grow them with our winters. I learned to keep them inside the house when it's cold
