Hello everyone! After all the drama, we're finally coming to an end of this all and moving on (I hope so?). Here are some of my personal thoughts and decisions that I wanted to share as well as some of the questions I have.
After 3 years of being involved with Steem, it's not that easy to leave it behind but I also don't want to have anything to do with Justin Sun and his twisted mind. I said on Twitter that, no matter what happens, I will go where the community is. I am not an investor nor developer, I am just sharing parts of my life and community is what keeps me going. Not only when it comes to interactions, but I also get a lot of inspiration from other people who are creating content so without that, being on these platforms wouldn't make a lot of sense for me.
I've been reading people's opinions and decisions about moving forward and seems like majority is moving to Hive and looks like a lot of them are really excited for this new chapter and looking forward to create/share content. That really boosted my mood as I have been feeling a little bit 'meh' these days and almost felt like I'm losing my inspiration and motivation for posting.
I'm that type of person who has a lot of patince and tolerance but once the line is crossed, I'm done and it's usually for good. I don't feel like the line is crossed yet so this Hive thing might come at the right moment. Maybe there's a little bit of an overwhelm from the virus situation and everything that follows it. My personal plans went to hell (for now) just when I finally figured out what I want and where I want my life to go. Even though I'm not 'in my zone' these days, I do have a list of things I want to do during the isolation to keep me busy and lift up my mood. I believe that everything happens for a reason and that we can all learn from every experience, especially the hard and challenging ones. I just hope we're going to have a great time on Hive, keep the community strong and keep sharing some sweet like honey content. :)
To my understanding this is how this transition will roll: the same amount of liquid STEEM, Steem Power and SBD we have will be equal to the amount of HIVE, Hive Power and HBD we will automatically have on Hive. All posts shared on Steem platforms will be visible on Hive but once the Hive is officially launched, all future posts will be only on the platform where they were created. In my case that will be Hive so once I start posting there, those posts won't be on Steem platforms. Wait, is this actually my last post on Steem? I'm getting kind of emotional, haha. All pending payouts will be shared on both, Steem and Hive and then go separate ways depending on where you decide to post. What I like about this transition is that we don't need to do much, just log in on Hive and move on from there. Starting from scratch (making accounts, following people etc.) would be pretty exhausting after weeks of drama with Justin Sun.
