I am tired but I felt the need to take some time to doodle. My son came up to me and requested that I draw him next to the drawing of myself. You can see the different versions of him I drew. Some of that was pure silliness. He approved of the final version and made sure that I made his shirt blue. It was too purpley originally.
This was just a small self-indulgent act. I have to remind myself that it's okay to take time just for me. It's okay to be self-indulgent and self-centered.
It's actually a must. I have to do my best to take care of myself because I have two children who depend on me to be a functioning adult.
