Nightcreature Poetry - The Odd Landscape Where I Longed To Stay

a thousand miles away
at this abstract place
something called the lake
danger and magic
there i longed to stay

the day was still
and the light reflected nothing
but a double halo
no river
and volcanos invisible
right then and there
i was gonna go

night had fallen
i tried to go away
but below
a blue glow
was drowning the night
and would never fade away

i was watching
petrified
frozen to the moment
forever glowing
and forever forced to stay
