During my school days, I always hated resuming school because it would mean that my holiday would end. But when I get back to school mode, I start enjoying it again because of my friends at school.

Yea... That is a very good technique... Waking up by 5am days before school resumption would make it easier to adjust to the normal school routine of waking up early and preparing for school.

It can be really painful and can be bad especially on mental health. However, knowing the truth can be a good thing... and like you said "as time passes, you would have no choice but to accept it".
