La bodeguita del Medio is one of the most visited places in Havana, Cuba, a unique place with a 100% Cuban vibe.

The monument of the city is famous for being the creed of Ernest Hemingway and the setting of the song “La Bodeguita del Medio” by Compay Segundo.

This winery has been preserved since its origins in the twentieth century, maintaining the same exterior decoration, the same patents adorning the interior and unleating a vibrant energy that keeps its visitors returning again and again, if you look at the photos its blue walls are full of writings and phrases that leave a mark on each of its visitors.

A classic visit to La Bodeguita del Medio is an adventure in the life of Havana, with a mixture of live music and typical Cuban food and drinks such as good mojito. During the day, visitors are happy to check out the souvenirs that have been bought over the years, which adorn every corner of the winery. Of course, don’t forget to stop by the famous counter for a special dish of Creole food typical of the island of Cuba. All this makes La Bodeguita del Medio an ideal place to visit, although for my taste the live music is too loud and vibrant to enjoy your meal, so if you are looking for a relaxed place to eat quietly, that is not.

On the other hand, the street that surrounds it is full of paintings and handicrafts, you can come and buy your souvenir to take as a souvenir, everything screams Cuba.

This place I definitely recommend it to stop by and take some good photos, it is a national charm and its 20th century facade is incredible, the street is very small and narrow so taking photos from the front becomes very tedious.

I hope you liked my post and I encourage you to visit the place one day.
