This was one of the many highlights this year when we visited Madeira. I highly recommend taking a private tour where they drop you off in various places and you get a full hour to explore each one, if you wish.
This location is about 1300 meters above sea level and I was literally looking down at clouds and the Atlantic Ocean far below.
The trees there were very special, very old and gnarled by the winds. We had a lucky day as far as weather is concerned because more often than not, dense fog rolls in. I have to admit that, I would love to see that, I bet it would be very atmospheric! Just think of the timelapses one could record!
