Starting line-up
My starting line-up is a bit limited by the no neutrals rule. I don't have the largest deck so sometimes it's just about making things work with what you have.
One of the best purchases that i've made in the past few months is the summoner Grandmaster Rathe. He was one of the cheaper legendary summoners but is still very powerful. With void armor and amplify he is a great choice for nearly every ruleset. I've been playing him non stop since buying him and winning a lot more battles.
As a ruleset, holy protection doesn't have that much effect on the match so when i was picking my team it didn't come into consideration. Much more important are the cards zeroed out by the no neutrals and then trying to avoid the poison which hits every round.
The brightwing card is always the first pick in this ruleset since it is immune to poison and can revive another card which then becomes immune as well. Pair that with two triage cards, armor repair and then the shieldbearer to soak up all of the attacks and i might just survive.
First kill.
My opponent went along the same lines as myself. Same summoner, same brightwing card, triage and healing abilities. The hope was just to outlast my team.
There was no blood drawn in the first round as we traded blows but just hit the divine shield for the most part. Triage and other abilities stemmed the poison for the first wave of attacks and we are both still looking very even.
The real difference for the first kill comes from my sacred unicorn who has 5 attack and pierce ability. When it connects it does a lot of damage and this was swiftly followed up by a 4 magic attack form my Djinn to take out their tank. Unfortunately the card was resurrected, healed and shielded so technically there was no first kill in round two.
Round three.
It came instead in round three when my unicorn got it's next attack on target. It had been a war of attrition up to this point with monsters getting resurrected and healed. Only one monster removed form the field after 99 attacks including poison.
With tat said most of the remaining monsters are on the ropes with 2-4 health points left so it should speed up from here on out. The one monster remaining with full health is my tank thanks to all of the healing monsters set up on the team.
Finishing line-up.
One more monster went from their team in round three leaving me in full health starting round four compared to them with two less. Those triage abilities coming in vital as shieldbearer has soaked up everything throw at it so far then being healed and repaired over and over again.
Poison did take out two of my monsters at the start of the fourth round and one of theirs. Still advantage to me. We went into round five 4 monsters apiece before poison hit again.
That was the big difference as my Unicorn had been cleansed in round one and never dropped in health. With it's strong attack power i finally got the win in round six leaving the Unicorn and Brightwing still standing
Try for yourself.
If you haven't played the game before then now is the best time to join. Today is much better than tomorrow and a lot better than later.
