It’s always nice to see a comedy movie filmed in nature wherein the main role is a horse. :) Of course, besides the horse, in the movie Dream Horse we will also see always great Toni Collette and Golden Globe winner Damian Lewis in the main roles. The movie is distributed by famous Warner Bros company and completely filmed in the United Kingdom. What is even more interesting is that it is based on an amazing true story from the documentary Dark Horse, directed by Louise Osmond. It will be premiered on May 1.
The story is situated in Welsh village where Jan, works as a barmaid and cleaner works. She got bored with her everyday job and decides to breed a racehorse, but not her alone, but with all the other villagers together. As time passes, the horse is getting up on ranks until it gets into the national championship.
The director of the movies is Euros Lyn, a well-known director and producer by his works in the movie The Library Suicides (2016), and TV Series Torchwood (2009) and Doctor Who (2005-2010). The writer of the film is Neil McKay, known for TV Series like Appropriate Adult (2011) and See No Evil: The Moors Murders (2006), but also movies like Mo (2010) or In Denial of Murder (2004).
