We went to a screening of "Frequency" at a Cinema in town but it was an independent film and a private screening. It was like investigation journalism into sound heeling. Lots of different modalities and people doing all sorts of things from the super high tech to drumming circles and tuning forks.
I am not sure it will really catch on mainstream, but it was all very interesting. They also had a bit of demonstration after using this machine that utilised the Cinemas sound system to create lots of weird sounds and frequencies. It was sort of like a big industrial machine was broken.
