New gate hinges day. I have been putting this job off for years. I had managed to fix it up a few times, but other people now struggle to open the gate in its bent and twisted form.
We are up on a bit of a hill, and if you open the gate and leave it unwedged, the wind will often slam it closed, even beyond closed, the metal got bent and timber pieces fly off.
I might be able to reuse the old hinges at my sons place on a smaller gate if I can straighten them a bit.
