We went to book fest for this activity count. Walking up and down between all the tables full of second-hand books helped get me a lot of steps for the day. In previous years, I have just checked out the sports and travel sections, but this year, I have found an historical fiction author I really like. So not only do I get a bit of a history lesson but Mr Bernard Cornwell writes from a bit of an action hero character perspective, who is right in the thick of things as history unfolds. There are not too many books that I really can get into but after a good few hours of searching the tables. I found enough books to keep me going for a year or at least until the book fest rolls around again.
It ended up and expensive day out with food.
and parking right underneath the expedition centre. Expensive but it all felt like good value for money.
