Intro
The Democrats sweeping victory at the just concluded midterms and taking control of Congress and the Senate is such a huge development. And something as huge as this usually have far reaching effects.
Although you can't say for sure what would happen with this new development you can at least look at the most probable and interesting ones.
Crypto Policies
Trump and his Republican lawmakers look like the pro crypto guys and the Democrats look like the anti-crypto guys, but that is not true. The crypto reserve and the crypto Act that we've been waiting for them to bring about still hasn't come.
They tried with the crypto Act before our very eyes, but like I said in my old post about it, that was a botched attempt. They should have worked better with the Democrats to make it come through. The Democrats also want a crypto Act but just not with some of the provisions the Clarity Act had.
Why couldn't they work on it? They had so much time to straighten it out.
Then the reserve was signed as an order but the legislation required for it was not pulled off either.
These two things of they were made would have been great for the crypto industry. There were obstacles from the Dems but my conclusion is that Trump and his guys were not being reasonable and honest enough or else they would have been able to work with the Dems to make this happen.
The complaint of the Dems is that the ethical provisions of these legislations are not ethical enough. For example Presidents and their wives are supposed to be under tighter rules that would stop them from owning and operating cryptocurrency, but Trump and his guys didn't want the tighter rules. Self serving guys.
The War and Tariffs
The war and tarrifs are other ways the Trump administration has stiffled the crypto market and the economy at large. Dems in control now may stop some of these, especially the war. They might be able to enact disapproval for the war and end it.
For tarrifs, they might be able to enact legislation against them too. Or might find misconducts regarding tarrifs now that they can start investigations better. And with this they might be able to do something about it.
Trump Impeachment
Trump is definitely going to be investigated by the House for all his seemingly fraudulent and self serving actions since he became president. The chances are very high the investigation would reveal damnable things about Trump's actions, and this in turn might lead to calls for his impeachment and or resignation.
If he doesn't resign, impeachment proceedings may go on. The Democrats don't have the numbers to ensure this happens on their own, but chances are a good number of Republican might join them because now Republicans can't be happy with Trump as Trump is the reason for the decline of their party.
They only stuck with Trump because Trump had a cult following and could bring in some huge numbers for them. But now that is done, so they might support any move to throw Trump away.
Plus moving against Trump as a party might be the only way to save face. If they move against Trump then the public would dissociate him from the party to some extent and the party wouldn't have as much bad face as they do now.
