Protecting the rights and freedom of others is such a beautiful humane and virtuous thing, and there is a humane satisfaction that comes from speaking up for others against those who would seek to oppress or malign them.

But that definitely should not apply to Islam.

The whole freedom of religion and liberty thing should not apply to Islam, and it is a pity that the left and libertarians think the same principles of freedom they espouse for LGBTQI, women, minority races, etc, should apply to Islam.

First Of,

Islam does not offer such freedom to non-muslims. A non-muslim can not go into a Muslim country and feel free like a Muslim would feel in a non-muslim country.

Opening a church in a Muslim country is usually filled with a lot of bottlenecks, and it is outrightly banned in some Muslim countries, but Muslims can waltz into almost every non-muslim country and build 10 mosques at will.

A religion that is only interested in freedom when they're the ones involved and against it when other religions are involved does not deserve any freedom.

A religion that wants to be tolerated by others but doesn't want to tolerate others does not deserve any tolerance whatsoever, not even the slightest amount.

Secondly,

Islam is inherently evil, and this is not an opinion of mine but an objective truth. The highest authority in Islam which is the Quran tells Muslims to kill and disregard non-muslims. Nothing spells danger more than a religion that has something like that as part of it's highest commandments.

Look at the following verses from the Quran:

It is not a coincidence that Islam and terrorism are like studios and speakers.

We should not forget about the French teacher, Samuel Paty, who was beheaded by a Muslim student after he showed cartoons of the Muslim prophet during a lesson about freedom of expression.

The major point here is that different groups of people have bad eggs, that's for sure, and you probably should not judge an entire group by what their bad eggs do. But when the manifesto of the group has murdering nongroup members in it then the members who murder are not bad eggs but are the only ones who do what the group has in it's original intentions.

Conclusion

With a religion like this one shouldn't be in a hurry to lend them your advocacy and overly opened arms. They should be treated specially.

And I'm not saying they should be met with hostility, we should always be civil in everything we do. A lot of thought has to go into the way the legal system would view Islam because it is a very delicate matter, in order to treat them specially we don't want to make the mistake of being unfair in any way.

We also don't want to be unfair to our own citizens who want to practice the religion.

But when it comes to outside the legal system you shouldn't be out here speaking in favour and protection of Islam as if you're speaking in favour of gender equality or racial equity, Islam does not deserve that treatment.
