What was said in this screenshot sounds quite convincing. I bet a lot of us have heard it said before that the reason for loving someone, if it is true love, is usually something profound or deep and not simple or material like bodily features, abilities, pedigree, etc.
It seems one thing gets a pass and that is vibes. Like if you say you love someone because of the way they make you feel then you probably get a pass, and your love don't get viewed as inferior.
But other tangible features are usually viewed as flimsy.
After the vibes thing the other reason that occupy the highest ranking is no reason at all. Like when you say you don't know the reason why you love them. A lot of us have heard about this, right? Or probably even subscribe to this school of thought?
Well, here is some insight on this whole thing:
for someone to say they don't know the reason why they love someone else. Most of the times you hear people say they don't know the reason why they love someone else it is for these two reasons: one: because they are shy, maybe because the reason is a sexual reason that would be improper to say out loud.
Two: because they have seen screenshots like the one above or subscribe to the school of thought in the screenshot already, and they think that that saying the lie that they don't know the reason would make their love would seem more superior.
Usually when you fall in love with someone and you're asked why you fell in love with them you would find yourself listing the good qualities of the person as the reason why. In truth those may not be the reason why but you can't help but think so. You can't help but think the good things about them is the reason why you're in love with them.
That is just how this thing works.
It's just like how we all have our food preferences and body preferences. Someone who loves crunchy chicken would say they just love how dry and crunchy it is, someone who loves watery spaghetti would say they just love how wet and yummy it is.
Someone who prefers voluptuous women would say they just love how there is soft squishy flesh everywhere on her body, and those who love skinny women would say they just love how portable and flexible their body is.
But the truth remains that you didn't really chose your preferences, you just came into the world and found out you get more pleasure from one thing than the other. But who would ever say this as the reason why they prefer a thing?
For example, when asked why you prefer voluptuous women, who would ever say:
Oh, I just came into the world and found out I get more pleasure and happiness from the sight and feel of voluptuous women than I do from skinny women.
Who would ever say this?
Instead wouldn't everyone start listing what they think is good about voluptuous women as the reason why they love voluptuous women?
So, there you have it.
Again, it is almost impossible to say I don't know why I love this person, I just love them. Except you're trying to not say the reason out loud or you're lying in order to make your love sound more profound.
If one gives reasons why they love someone it doesn't mean their love is inferior. They might be wrong about the reasons, and it is almost impossible to not list the good qualities of a person when you're asked why you love them.
