No sรฉ cuรกnto dure esto y no sรฉ si maรฑana podrรฉ conectarme, si podrรฉ postear, si podrรฉ responder. Entonces sรญ alcanza. Siempre alcanza.

I joined HIVE ten months ago and I didnโt really know what I was looking for, but I found something I didnโt even know I needed: a space to be myself.
I am a pediatric neurologist, and that means my day starts early, surrounded by medical records, anxious mothers, and children who cannot find the words to express what they feel. My job is to translate silences, and perhaps that is why HIVE captivated me so deeply.
For years, ideas would come to me and just float around, with no place to land. I thought about writing, yes, but for what purpose and for whom? Until I discovered that here I could publish them, and on top of that, someone would read them, and, whatโs more, I would even be rewarded economically. That turned out to be the push I needed to take the leap.
HIVE became my perfect accomplice, and then came the most beautiful routine I have ever had. Three hours to write, to edit, to read, to comment, and to simply be someone who writes but the thing is, I am Cuban, and that, here, changes everything.
Being Cuban on HIVE means living on the edge. It means having your post ready by seven in the evening and waiting until the early morning because only then, mysteriously, the internet decides to cooperate. It means spending hours trying to find a way to upload an image while watching the time you set aside with such effort slip away, and writing in the darkness of a blackout, with mobile data at 1% and the certainty that tomorrow you might not even be able to log in to say hello.
It is normal for me to read wonderful comments on my posts and not be able to reply until a day later, when the moment has already passed and the person who wrote to you probably thinks you donโt value their time. I wish I could tell them that I do, that I cherish every word, and that it just happens that only on this island, sometimes time and connection work against us.
I have lost count of the sleepless early mornings, with my phone pressed against the window searching for a signal, and I have learned to write my posts in Notes, to have my images ready in the cloud, to always have a plan B, C, and even D, because love for HIVE, when you are Cuban, is also an exercise in resilience.
Then came this moment when many are leaving, when the future seems uncertain, and when some say HIVE is not what it used to be. I see it falling into the abyss, I read about it in the posts, I feel it in the air, and I think: Now? Right now, when I just found it?
Well, yes. Now, because if my profession has taught me anything, it is that the most critical moments are precisely when presence is most needed. A child in crisis does not need you to run away; they need you to stay and a platform that is faltering does not need you to abandon it; it just needs you to hold it tighter and I am one of those who hold on.
I do not know how long this will last, and I do not know if tomorrow I will be able to connect, to post, or to reply. What I do know is that as long as I can, I will be here, writing from the Cuban early morning, from dying mobile data, and from a love that persists and all because when love for HIVE is not enough, you stretch it, you reinvent it, and you defend it. Then it is enough. It is always enough.
