When I learned that Rising Star Game had its own version of the Grinch but for Easter, and I saw the image, I knew I had to draw it. There's nothing cooler than a grumpy rocker hare. So I came up with this kind of poster with the hare as the main character, maybe announcing its next concert.
Cuando supe que Rising Star Game ten铆a su propia versi贸n del Grinch pero para Easter, y vi la imagen, supe que ten铆a que dibujarlo. Es que no hay nada m谩s genial que una liebre rockera malhumorada. As铆 se me ocurri贸 hacer esta especie de cartel con la liebre como protagonista, quiz谩s anunciando su pr贸ximo concierto.
The first thing was to make a very simple sketch of the character. I want the drawing to be completely in black and white, as if it were a poster made from an old photocopier. I also want it to have this worn-out effect, with smudged ink and folded paper, I have the perfect texture for that.
Lo primero fue realizar un boceto bien simple del personaje. Quiero que el dibujo sea completamente en blanco y negro, como si fuese un cartel hecho desde una m谩quina de fotocopias antigua. Adem谩s, quiero que al final tenga este efecto de desgaste, tinta corrida y papel doblado, tengo la textura perfecta para eso.
Over my sketch, I traced the first lines, mainly to define the character and the elements of the face and clothing. His signature dark glasses couldn't be missing. I also gave him a T鈥憇hirt with a skull design.
Sobre mi boceto trac茅 las primeras l铆neas, sobre todo para delimitar lo que ser铆a el personaje y los elementos de la cara y la ropa. No pod铆an faltar sus distintivos lentes oscuros. Tambi茅n le hice una camiseta con el dibujo de una calavera.
This is how my drawing turned out completed, but I'll add some extras: I'll write in the background in quick handwriting some elements from both the character card description and the game, as well as the date. Finally, I'll overlay the folded paper texture and the photocopy noise texture... and done!
As铆 qued贸 mi dibujo completado, pero le agregaremos unos extras: escribir茅 en el fondo, con una caligraf铆a r谩pida, elementos tanto de la descripci贸n de la tarjeta del personaje como del juego, y la fecha. Por 煤ltimo, queda superponer la textura de papel doblado y de ruido de fotocopia... 隆y listo!
