Ojos II
Hello, new day, new drawings, getting graphite all over the pages and sheets that fall into my hands. Today I'm sharing the second eye practice session with you. As visual support, I used some of Loomis's books and a tutorial I found on YouTube. The first image accompanying this post is the final result of today's practice.
Hola, nuevo día, nuevos dibujos, ensuciando con grafito las páginas y hojas que caigan en mi mano. Hoy les comparto la segunda práctica de ojos. Como apoyo visual, estuve usando algunos de los libros de Loomis y un tutorial que encontré en YouTube. La primera imagen que acompaña este post es el resultado final de las prácticas de hoy.
Sometimes I find it difficult to see the human eye as a sphere, and I end up drawing flat eyes stuck in the middle of the face. I think many of the mistakes we beginners make in drawing are precisely there: in not understanding the fundamentals of the structure we are drawing, and I think that sadly is something that can only be achieved with hours and hours of drawing. I've only got a few under my belt, hahaha.
A veces se me hace difícil ver el ojo humano como una esfera y termino dibujando ojos planos pegados en medio de la cara. Creo que muchos de los errores que cometemos los principiantes en el dibujo están precisamente ahí: en no comprender las bases de la estructura que estamos dibujando, y creo que tristemente es algo que solo se logra con horas y horas de dibujo. Yo voy apenas por unas pocas, jajaja.
Something I learned in this practice is the behavior of both eyes: they move as two connected spheres that turn toward the same place. I think we've all drawn those weird, empty-looking eyes at some point, and it's precisely because of this, not knowing how they behave together.
Algo que aprendí en esta práctica es el comportamiento de ambos ojos: se mueven como dos esferas conectadas que giran hacia el mismo lugar. Creo que todos dibujamos esos ojos raros sin mirada en algún momento, y se debe precisamente a esto, a no saber cómo se comportan juntos.
