So Ji Sub (born November 4, 1977) is a South Korean actor. After making his debut as a model of jeans, he became an actor known for his roles in television series such as "What Happened in Bali" and "I'm Sorry, I Love You" or "Master's Sun" or his great performance in the movie "Rough Cut". Also, in his role as a singer he has released several hip-hop EPs.
So Ji describes himself as an introverted and insecure person from his childhood to his adolescence and assures that from a young age he wanted to become a professional swimmer, "he trained hard for it".
She tried to be a model simply because she wanted to coincide with the Hip Hop artist, Kim Sung Jae, who at that time was the main image for a clothing brand of the time. "I was never really interested in becoming a celebrity," says So himself. So Ji enlisted for mandatory military service in 2005 as a public relations officer in the Mapo District Office and was discharged on April 27, 2007.
He made his comeback in "Rough Cut" which was the directorial debut of Jang Hoon, in which he played a thug who dreamed of becoming an actor. Because of the low budget of the film, as did his partner in the poster, Kang Ji Hwan, decided to invest their rates again in the film, and thus be accredited as a producer. The interpretation of So Ji was well received by the public and critics, winning numerous awards for best leading actor in various awards ceremonies in Asia. So Ji Sub published his collection of personal photos under the name of "So Ji-sub's Journey", The album includes stories and photos of the last 13 years since his debut as a model, using unpretentious language and sensitive photographs taken during his travels from DMZ to Gangwon province.

The single, along with the music video itself, was released on February 17, 2011, but recorded low sales.
So Ji played a boxer who falls in love with a blind girl in the romantic melodrama "Always" (Korean title: Only You), directed by Song Il Gon. It was the opening film in 2011 of the Busan International Film Festival. Subsequently So published a second book of photos only of the film entitled "So Ji-sub's Only You" with photographs, notes and comments on the reproduction of his character in the film.
On March 14, 2012, a magazine for their fans was released entitled "Sonice", inside So Ji suggested ideas and places, food and their favorite books, and more stories through their own eyes. His name is a combination of "very nice" and "Sonic", which is his nickname. He also became the owner of the "Apgujeong-dong" chain of CJ Foodville of A Twosome Place.

Bobby Kim publicly congratulated So Ji for rapping with him saying: "So he has an innate talent, he's as good at rapping as he is acting". So also acted in the music video of "Some Kind of Story".

In June 2014 he released his third electro-hip-hop EP entitled "18 Years", which represents how long he has been in the industry since he made his debut as an actor. He wrote and composed the lead song (with the voice of the singer Satbyeol), and the other two tracks were collaborations with the hip-hop group Soul Drive. Subsequently, another single was released in July 2015 entitled "SoGanzi", his second collaboration with Soul Drive.
In 2016 she was able to see and enjoy in the television drama "Oh My Venus (2016)", about a celebrity trainer who helps a lawyer to lose weight and find her inner beauty as they heal emotional scars from others. This drama co-starred with female star Shin Min Ha and singer Henry Lau. As expected, it was a huge audience success.
