Ever wondered what it'd be like to go to the moon? I used to too until yesterday. I left the house yesterday because I was trying to get my personal voters card done and I was free yesterday so I decided to do just that. The thing with getting the PVC was I had to go early because I knew people would be much there. I left my house by 6:30 feeling fly, thinking I would be like the 1st or 2nd person there. I was shocked when I met a crowd there. By my count, about 30 people had reached there before me. Don't these people sleep in their houses? Did they camp there?
I wrote my name down on a list I saw. 30 minutes later, I wrote my name on another list someone was passing within the crowd. It wasn't too long before I saw another list being passed, I wrote my name on that too. I think I wrote my name on about 5 lists. I didn't care what they were for, as long as there were lists, I would continue to write my name. Someone could be passing a list, looking for volunteers for human sacrifices and I still would've written my name.
The officials that'd help with the registration arrived late so I just knew I'd waste more time there. About an hour later, they started registering people. They used one particular list and my name wasn't on that one. After writing my name in up to 5 lists, the one they used didn't have my name on it. I decided it wasn't going to bring me down, besides, I had planned to spend the whole day there. One of the annoying moments of the whole day was that some girls came by 3 o'clock and got registered in under an hour.
Was it a crime to be a boy?
By five o'clock, people started to get angry because they weren't using the list anymore and was registering people based on looks. It was only a matter of time before people started arguing and fighting. Now I don't like fighting, I'd like to think of myself as a pacifist. When the fighting started, I tried to
get myself out of there as soon as possible but my trying to escape got me pushed hard towards one of the body guards they brought. He didn't even wait, dude slapped me into the clouds.
He was huge, had muscles. All I saw after the slap were the lights go out. When I opened my eyes, I was on the moon. Gosh it was so beautiful up there. I was unconscious for about four minutes until I felt water being poured on my face. Looks like the slap was what everybody needed to calm down. I don became the attention of the centre. The bright side to the slap was they allowed the "fainting boy" get his voter's card done because they felt pity on me. The guy that slapped me apologized later. Sometimes bad things happen to us for good reasons. At least that's what I use to comfort myself for being knocked out.
