My parents found out I travelled for a week and they were not happy about it, my dad has been creating different scenarios of what could've happened to me on the road.

How did they find out? One of my friends posted a picture he and I took in Abuja. He had a lot of reasons not to post that picture, on the top of that list is he looked great in the picture whereas I looked like a donkey, why did he need to post it?

I was thinking about what they'd say the whole trip back home, I didn't even notice a pretty girl was sitting beside me until the end of the ride. Sometimes, there are more important things than women.

I started doing calculations in my head, what lie could I possibly tell to get me out of the mess? I thought of a bunch of things and ended up with telling them it was a money related trip, the only problem with that lie is I had no money to show for it and I couldn't rob a bank that day, it wasn't a work day.

Even if it was a work day, I didn't have the tools necessary like the handcuffs to put on when I get caught by the police.

I went straight home to face tuem and be done with it once and for all. They weren't home when I got there, just my sister making sure I knew the kind of trouble I was in. I hoped she didn't open her big mouth or else my lie wouldn't work.

They came back in the evening after attending a wedding so I had hoped they'd be in a good mood, I was wrong. My mum didn't get the souvenir she wanted from the wedding, that made her pissed which in turn made my dad pissed.

I was already dead before they even walked in. Both of them saw me and didn't say a thing, they just walked up to their room until that night when my mum possibly remembered the souvenir thing in her dream and woke my dad up. They decided this was the right time to wake me up and yell.

I don't think my dad wanted to say anything until my mom gave him 'the look' and he started yelling too. I waited for them to finish before I landed the lie, 'it was money related'. "So where's the money", my mom asked.

The problem with a lie is how fast it grows. I said the money would take a week to get to me. I two days into the week. If you don't hear from me after this week passes, know my parents did it.

That being said, if anybody is looking to buy a teenager, seemingly harmless sometimes, behaves like the devil's advocate and will definitely get you in trouble, hit me up, I want to sell my sister.

And if I don't make it to next week, tell diikaan@diikaan not to touch my Nikes.
