I promised @corvidae a post about crows. Actually I have gathered some photos I haven't shown yet and the last ones I made few days ago on the beach. The hooded crow, which is widely spread here, continues to amaze me when it comes to its appetite. This bird eats practically everything. From pinching cats biscuits to eating pigeons or clams, even mushrooms. Oh and rummaging the trush bins. So, here is a selection of images of crows I got to show in places usual and unusual searching for food.
I will start with the most recent, the ones I took on the beach. It is not unusual sight - crows on the beach. However, it was curious what this one is looking for.
The crow checked the stone on every side. There, among the seaweeds must be something worth finding to munch.
Another day, when I was again walking near the beach I saw this crow. It wasn't sunny and it was cold. Interestingly the bird was trying to open the clam.
And what we've got here is a crow with what appears to be a piece of nut perhaps.
But the next one is either trying to crack the walnut or just drop it and pick it up on not so busy road.
There is always some food left for the stray cats. Free buffet for everyone.
And the last image is of the crow walking on the grass, there is always something hidden to peck.
And that is all for now, have a great day!
