Whilst in Home Bargains yesterday, I came across a multipack of coloured, disposable plastic shot glasses. They were stacked in two columns in their packaging and immediately I knew I could do something with these as a lightpainter.
So today at my desk I put up a black cloth and spaced the shot glasses out in a slight curve and then practised shots with lights at different points. Luckily when the shot glasses were mass produced (Injection moulding I suspect) they left a small nipple of plastic at the bottom and when the glasses are stacked this looks like several small spheres hanging in space.
I tried multiple shots and got a variety of colours. The first image, the main image, is a double exposure with a black piece of card that has been punctured with a needle and a white light shone through to simulate stars..

The second shot is without the double exposure, and I rely more on the colours..
