As the name implies, this is a throwback to Halloween, but Halloween last year. These are some of the images I haven't previously posted, but I like them as Aiden is such a pleasure to work with and creates some stunning images. I also like these due to the colour, they're eye catching.

These shots are also when I first started doing the gelled backlit shots with smoke too so I remember we were in a small clearing in some woods, it was dark, and I was faffing trying to get the trigger and flash lined up to see each other to trigger, while not getting the flash in shot. Then torches started to not work, and well, it just shows this is not a glamorous look!

But ever the professional Aiden always arrives dressed to impress, with costume changes and props, and willing to try something new.

Below in the first shot Aiden held the smoke pellet as it was dispersing pretty quickly, so we decided to use this in shot. I find this colour really eye catching and the posing by AIden in on point..

I do like this next shot too. As I've seen with other photographers, Aiden is never scared to pull a quirky pose and this is no exception. I'm almost waiting for her to take her own head off and putthe skull on it its place!

Aiden 6.jpg

Below is one of my favourites. Aiden had a veil that went with her outfit, and with the flash shining through I think this really adds to the effect. Then the look on Aidens face and the skull really makes this image work for me..

Aiden 4.jpg

Below is more veil action. Once I'd taken the first shot with this and seen we were on to a winner I had to keep going as it just made the outfit bigger and more effective..

And finally the killer.

Its Halloween, and to me that means Michael Myers whose favourite tool of trade is a big carving knife. Sweet and wholesome to homicidal killer with the flick of a switch :)

As a photographer I try to mix what I do in my shots, I've done still life, some macro work, lightpainting and I enjoy a good model shoot. If you'd like to check out any of my other work I'm on Facebook, or you can find me on Instagram under neilru75

Thanks very much for looking

Kind Regards, Neil
