NeedleWorkMonday’s Year End Challenge Highlights - Featured Posts #235

IMG_9867.jpeg

What a wonderful turnout and wrap up we had for 2023! A total of 33 entries were submitted (35 including our administrative team).

We sent out a total of 78 Hive and 29.50 HBD worth of tips to every entrant. We truly thank each of you for your participation and taking the time to reflect on your needlework year.

It was a pleasure reading all of the entries. I think many realized that though it may have seemed like much didn’t get done, after listing it all out it changed their perspective. All goals might have not been reached but each of you were proud of what you did accomplish.

You can start this year off knowing you are very capable of completing tasks and dreaming big!

Today I’d like to highlight some of our favorite entries and showcase their end of year recap…

NEEDLEWORKMONDAY YEAR END CHALLENGE! || 2023 FLOWER BOUQUET GOALS

by @jonalyn2020

The bouquet work @jonalyn2020 has presented throughout the year is truly pleasing and satisfying to the eye. I told her I could stare at her photos for hours and I’m being so serious 😄. It’s been a pleasure seeing her skills grow from when she first started making them.

In addition to her bouquets she was able to create some very pretty business cards to add to her packages. What a wonderful touch! We look forward to seeing more arrangements and updates as her business progresses in 2024! 👏🏽👏🏽😀

Mi hijo y yo entre hilos y agujas en 2023

by @irenenavarroart

We were able to enjoy not only Irene’s amazing creations but also those of her son and nephew. She is teaching the next generation these handiwork skills which will enable these passions to continue on. Well done job to you and both boys!

If it wasn’t enough that we all fell in love with her amigurumis, she added some spectacular wall hangings to her repertoire which uses the macramé technique. I was so in awe with the characters and designs she came up with. I am excited to see all she does this year! 🤩

NEEDLEWORK: MY 2023 ACCOMPLISHMENTS

by @blezyn

IMG_9861.jpeg

I was cheesing the entire time reading this submission from @blezyn ☺️. She shared about the mannequin and lighting equipment she acquired. We also got to see some of her most loved pieces for the year, one I would purchase in a heartbeat. This beautiful crochet sweatshirt using the mini-bean stitch. It’s absolutely gorgeous!

She couldn’t believe that the video of this sweatshirt went viral and many people were curious about it. I hope she has many more successes like these throughout this new year!!! 🥳

A Year-End Reflection of My Needlework Journey in 2023

by @vickoly

IMG_9858.jpeg

Wow what a year of learning and development it was for @vickoly. We learned that he connected with another artisan who gave him some valuable lessons and added skills that has already improved his business. It’s a blessing when others are willing to barter their knowledge.

I am always impressed by the work of his hands. The footwear he creates has made many individuals and families alike very happy. We hope you continue to shine and grow in 2024!! 😉

Year End Challenge: My Crochet Year 2023 in Review

by @romeskie

IMG_9857.png

@Romeskie showed us how productive she was by listing out each month the projects and goals she accomplished. It was inspiring learning that she had a goal to complete one project per month.

We’re excited for her and her online store venture. I have no doubts she will gain plenty of clientele and repeat customers because the work she does is absolutely incredible! 😍

[Es-En] ¡Reto de fin de año de NeedleWorkMonday! Una reflexión del 2023 NeedleWorkMonday’s Year End Challenge! - A 2023 Reflection

by @afrikablr

I saved this one for last as it was one of the most heartfelt posts I’ve ever read from our community. I had so many emotions while reading it. @Afrikablr is one of the most unique and original creators I have come across. Her story of struggles and victories will for sure inspire anyone who reads.

I love the beautiful doll work and garment work she has shared with us over the years. She is definitely not afraid to set trends and I love the strength and courage that exudes from her. We are so grateful she is part of our beloved needlework family ~ 💖💝

Thanks again to all of the entrants and for taking the time to share your year with us. Let’s make 2024 another great needlework year!! Whoo Hoo!!! 🎉
